Conversion KitBrushless System / Conversion Kit for Cen Matrix ???
Re: Conversion Kithttp://www.teamnovak.com/products/brush ... index.html
also try the Kyosho 777 kit from castle: http://www.castlecreations.com/products ... _kits.html OR... you can check out Cen Matrix R3-E FRE due out this spring. For you doubters... THE big wig from Cen Taiwan is in California right now. Expect things to happen this spring.
Re: Conversion KitRunne, don't tease us, PLEASE tell us more !
The Electric brushless conversion kit links you show. What is involved to do this with the Matrix TR truggy ? Any thread links you can send to help ? Is it an easy conversion for Cen's truggy ? Runne, I would also appreciate if you could comment on my earlier e-mail asking about Hobbypro brushless kit advertized for Cen's truggy (only $45 or less for kit) Are you sure. New electric R3e ? We haven't even seen a new nitro RTR or pro-kit truggy, let alone a new pro-kit buggy in 3 years. Will there be a brushless truggy ? Don't want to be too forward, but maybe show how frustrated Cen customers are to the big-wig, then things may possibly, maybe, could happen..... cheers, Rod
Re: Conversion KitThe next-gen Matrix is going to be called the R3, since there have been updates to the R2. Yes, there will be nitro and brushless variants. I've actually seen them, and I know that they're testing the brushless buggy in california at the moment.
Here is a teaser to whet your appetite... ![]()
Re: Conversion KitTks Runne, that's a real teaser. The front shocks look nice anyways. Will there be a brushless RTR & pro-kit "truggy" also this spring ? Please keep us posted & fully updated with pics & dates, before everyone jumps ship.
cheers, RCROD
Re: Conversion Kitnot sure about the release date on the truggy, but take a look at the a-arms. Also notice where the fuel tank "should" be...
Re: Conversion KitDo you mean, NO release date for either Cen's new nitro "OR" brushless truggy ? We all know, Truggies make great racers & bashers. Can't beat em for that. Since the BIG-WIG is here now, press him for more URGENT info on truggies for the Cen diehards. Without a date at all, I wonder if the updated nitro & brushless truggy is only an afterthought with CEN ?
Yeah, the a-arms do look cool. The pic is cut off somewhat, so can't really see where the fuel tank would be... Runne, if you get a chance, would appreciate your comments on my earler thread regarding the HOBBYPRO brushless conversion kit listed for Cen's Matrix TR truggy. It's under $50, but not sure what is involved to install, since TR has such a big spur gear & maybe not as easy as other nitro truggy conversions ? cheers, RCROD
Re: Conversion KitI'm not familiar with the hobbypro conversion. can you provide a link?
I dont have any direct interface with Mr Wu (ken's dad). But concerns have been relayed.
Re: Conversion Kit
Runne, tks for your reply The conversion kit is on ebay.ca, link is: http://cgi.ebay.ca/CEN-1-8-BUGGY-TRUGGY ... 414d4ec133 However my main question is: does Cen's truggy require a lot more modifications to convert to brushless than other truggies, as the electric conversion kits for Cen, only show available for the buggy. Other brushless conversion kits offer for both buggies & truggies. Otherwards, what is involved & any links on a Matrix TR brushless conversion ? Tks again Runne, I hope for positive news. I'm especially interested in Cen's much awaited brushless truggy. cheers, RCROD
Re: Conversion KitThat looks like it would work. I've used the RC Monster motor mount/center diff mount.
As far as buggy vs truggy conversions- you're going to be using the same parts. same diff mount, same battery holder, etc. The screw holes should be the same for the radio tray and the engine holes. Not positive on the tank screws- I believe the screws on the truggy are wider apart (larger tank). You could always make new screw holes in the battery tray. I've used an RC Monster tray, where you have to make your own holes to begin with.
