Nemesis with a .28

Postby Jman44 on Sun Jan 03, 2010 5:04 pm

Hi all,
Currently I am trying to convert my nemesis to a .28 setup. I have the LRP Z.28R spec 3 engine and the GSR 5.0 engine mount on it. My question is, is there a after market clutch that will be the equivalent of the GSR 5.0 clutch that I can put on this engine?

Thanks

yes... you can use the Matrix/GSR flywheel. Also, you should convert the hubs to 17mm and use truggy wheels/tires.

Thanks, do you know the part numbers of those clutches? And are they two speed?

Thankyou

yes.. check this link, you'll see an exploded view of the GSR:

Look at the engine and flywheel setup. Below are the parts I recommend. You may notice dfferent part numbers listed for the clutch shoes and springs. These are upgrades- stiffer springs and billet aluminum clutch shoes. This will allow the engine to wind up higher before the clutch kicks in.
G36221- screw
G73902- front bearing.
GS301- Front pinion gear
G36904- shim
GS300- rear pinon gear
GS318- GSR clutchbell
G73902- rear bearing (same as front... but get extras)
MXS21- GOLD clutch springs
GSS16- heavy duty clutch shoes. Comes in packs of 4, but you only use 3.
MX268- Matrix R2 pilot nut. (easier to get clutch springs on and off)
MX053- Matrix/GSR Flywheel
G70349-20- Flywheel collet
